MY TOP 5 POSTS THIS YEAR.

MY TOP 5 POSTS THIS YEAR.

Seasons greetings and happy holidays to all my followers and supporters. I started posting the blogs in February this year, and your support and comments have been invaluable in motivating and inspiring me to turn out at least one post a week that is interesting, useful and informative to you the reader.

THE NEW YEAR.

I’m really motivated and full of ideas for the new year. I have several more posts on PAYING ATTENTION TO DETAILS as a gigging musician. In the pipeline as well, is a series on MUSICAL HEALTH. Also a series entitled HOT GIGGING TIPS FROM VETERAN  MUSICIANS. I would like to include several of you in this series.

BACKING TRACKS.

In collaboration with Marc Johnston www.marc-johnston.com the plan is to release a series of backing tracks that are specially created for instrumentalists. These will be great to use on gigs, for music teachers and students, and also for the amateur musician to have a bit of fun playing for themselves. These are tracks that we have recorded using live instruments. Keep an eye out for these.

GUEST POST.

Judging by the comments that you have been leaving about the posts, many of you have really worthwhile things to say, and also saying it very well. If you would like to be featured as a GUEST POST please contact me at saxaxeman@gmail.com If you would like to feature me on your website as a guest post, do contact me as well.

MY TOP 5 POSTS THIS YEAR.

In case you have missed them, here is a list of MY TOP 5 POSTS THIS YEAR.

5 SYNTHETIC OR CANE REEDS?

The only reason this is not higher on the list, is that it is so recent. This drew more comments, and discussion than all the other posts put together.

4 THE GOLDEN ERA OF SAX

3 THERE ARE ONLY 2 TYPES OF MUSIC: GOOD MUSIC AND BAD MUSIC.

This one did very well with the search engines in  April/May this year. The key search words were WHAT ARE THE 2 TYPES OF MUSIC?, and they were all from the Philippines. I have visions of some teacher in the Philippines setting an assignment, and the answer he wanted was something like classical and pop, and all the students failed the assignment because they quoted my website.

2 THE ART OF USING BACKING TRACKS.

This one is consistently popular with the search engines.

1 FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS CLAP ON BEAT 1 AND 3.

For some reason the search engines absolutely love this post.

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR

God bless. Patrick. (The SaxAxeMan)
